CHUV Dog blood donation with his master

MON CHIEN, UN HÉROS! CHUV Blood Drive

Orford, February 5, 2018 - Eager to play a growing role in raising public awareness about animal health issues, Yan Tremblay, founding president of Bond Pet inc., a Quebec manufacturer of dog collars and leashes, announces that his company will be donating dog collars to support the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vétérinaire (CHUV) blood drive. http://chuv.umontreal.ca/banque-de-sang/

The goal of this initiative is to acknowledge and support the CHUV Blood Bank collection activities. The blood of a single dog can be used to help up to four canine patients, since it is separated into blood components that are then used during surgeries and as part of various treatments (anemia, infections, intoxication, coagulation problems).

“Through this initiative, the Bond Pet inc. team wants to show that it is possible to make a difference with small, simple gestures. We believe that the collars and leashes developed and produced here in Quebec will gradually gain recognition among animal health specialists throughout Quebec,” said Yan Tremblay.

“We can only welcome the help of an entrepreneur, who, in addition, is a graduate of the Université de Montréal, when he comes to assist us with initiatives we wish to promote among the general population. », said Mr. Patrick Sabourin, General Director of the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vétérinaire (CHUV) de l’Université de Montréal.
